Need advice: How to ship frame from Amsterdam

I'm seriously considering buying a well ridden Zieleman 62cm frameset in Amsterdam, but can't figure out the best way to ship it (I'm flying Amsterdam to London, to Chicago). If I shipped, it would be Amsterdam to Oregon.Anyone have ideas?

Are we talking shipped by post or as extra luggage?

I figure shipping as luggage would be almost $200 (two carriers); so a shipping co Must be cheaper. Anyone do it recently? My wife's questioning the wisdom of another frame.

My online DHL estimate came to $250, express, the only quote I could find.

I just checked on dhlparcel.nl: a 5 - 10 kg package to Portland is still €52.
