I bough some enamel paint pens from an art supply store. They come in fine tip or a little thicker. They work really well.

"Pen-touch" gold paint pen from the art store worked well for me.

I got a Testors pen,

I figured out you can trim the tip to make it more fine tipped.

Bikes: A bunch of old steel bikes

I use Testors paint and a ruling pen (drafting instrument). Works better than any brush or paint pen that I have used in the past. The key is to get the paint a bit on the thick side so it loads and flows predictably.

You can get a Testors set of paints including metallic gold for like 10$ that comes with a small brush, if you go slowly and make sure to lay it on a bit thick it'll look fine.

Testors gold and a steady hand with a small paint brush. You can use the frame itself to "brace" your hand.

Good excuse to have a drink first. Loose and limber.

I've used a Uchida Liquid Gold (or Silver) opaque paint marker with satisfactory results. The nib can be sharpened with an Xacto knife. I think I got mine at Hobby Lobby. It goes without saying, practice on something (old bike frame?) before you use it on your project. Good luck!

More importantly, keep a clean rag and some lighter fluid handy. Mistakes are easily removed.
