Help IDing this Frameset/lugs. Olmo?

Picked up this frameset that has been subjected to a low quality respray and was wondering if anyone could id the builder or at least the type of lugs used. Thanks in advance!

Do not think Olmo.

Lugset is a pattern somewhat similar to the Agrati "AM" used extensively by Olmo and many other Italian makers; but is not the same. Crown is a BOCAMA pattern, also distributed by RonKit and Bertin as Milremo brand. Lugs and seat stay cap look more like a Brit bike. Are there markings on the right side of the seat tube just below the seat lug?

Headset looks like it could be a Brampton. Seat binder looks like one frequently employed in the UK. It is not a Gripfast however. Might be a Brampton.

Have you made a threading check as yet so as to rule in/out possible nationalities?

A look at the ends, both bow and stern, would likely assist the assembled experts...

Currently leaning toward a UK origin.

A Carlton Flyer, perhaps? Carltons in the 68 - 72 period had up to 7 digit long serials and this one has 6. The lugs, crown and flat plate stay cap look right. Possibly a Holdsworth from the same period.

Our Jim is on to something como per normale! :thumb:

Here is the lug set on 3alarmer's newly arrived 1967 Carlton Competition. On his frame they have a triangular cutout on the socket for the down and the top tubes. Seat stay caps are semi-wraparound rather than the flat type we have on this frame.

Sorry I missed the updates, thanks for the help so far.

Definitely not Italian, as once I cleaned it off and stripped it down, it has Suntour dropouts and a British thread BB

Did Carlton ever use Japanese frame parts?

Look like Hayden birdsmouth or some such? Like used on the early Pro's. ;)
