Bikes: 1984 Miyata 310, 1986 Schwinn Sierra, 1987 Ross Mt. Hood, 1988 Schwinn LeTour, 1988 Trek 400T, 1981 Fuji S12-1977 Univega Grand Rally, S LTD, 1973 Sears Free Spirit 531, 197? FW Evans

They only take orders periodically for a limited number, then shut down until the next time. It is a small operation and everything is hand-made to order. I understand they sell out quickly whenever they take orders.

Wow! $199 for a copy of my TA handlebar bag (rando?) that I have been using since 1974. Does that include the rack? I wonder if that one will last as long. I suppose to fit on your $3000 Rivendell then it's not so much. Add in $78 for a bag rack. When I die I will leave instructions for selling off my PX10 in expensive pieces!

Bikes: A few. Quite a few.

I have several Acorn bags - love 'em. Usually when they put a group on sale they're all gone that same day, you have to be fast.

And have you seen how much those original TA handlebar bags are going for on eBay now? You could sell yours and buy two Acorn bags.

Holy Cow. $475 I saw for bag and rack! You guys are nuts! I'll just ride mine with pride, I used to think it was a kind of beat up old thing. The TA badge is in perfect shape BTW. If I included a log of where it's been can I get even more? Like to the top of Dante's View in Death Valley, well not in, actually looking down at it, and an achievement I'm proud of. Also fits perfectly a 6 pack of beer. Done that a few places around the world.

Regards, Joe

I also love my Acorn handlebar bag and the saddle bag I got for my wife's bike. Good quality stuff.

More than "looks good", is good. I have four (I think it is). I wish they were about 5% bigger but they do carry my commute lunch and a few other items.

Another option is Velo-orange.com

https://store.velo-orange.com/index....-panniers.html

the Brooks site has bags as well. I don't recommend Joe Bikerider looking at this site; he might have a heart attack.

Sunk cost, why not just use it!

And, BTW, pics or it didn't happen!

Hey Gugie, guess what I got the image into here! Took a few tries. From the phone, email to the computer, extract that to a file and here it is. I should remember that for the future. It's taken from under with the bike on the wall rack. Looks pretty dirty but it earned it. Regards, Joe

Yeah, photos are a bit of a pain to get on the site, but there you did it! Good job.

Your bag shows the main reason to go with a hand made, cloth and leather bag. Take care of them, and they'll last for years.

And that's not dirt, that's "patina", or for those follows of the elfdom, beausage.
