Show your cool bike component

What bike component do you have that is unique, well made, pretty, shiny or just plain cool?
My entry is an Ofmega Premier rear derailleur. Not real valuable but really well made. A quote from Velobase speaking of Ofmega Premier components: "The build quality of all of the components is very high, with some authors stating that, at the time, even Campagnolo couldn't match it.".

I'll play. The Simplex rear derailleur I've had in my French parts box for over 20 years, and the Maillard Course aluminum freewheel I picked up at the swap meet last weekend. For the longest time I had no idea what that RD was, but it seemed too special to just throw on whatever. After adding it to Velobase I eventually learned that it's a Raidexport from the early-to-mid-'60s. I doubt I'll ever come across a bike which is both appropriate and early enough to use it on, but I can hope. The freewheel will eventually go on my MKM with full 2nd-gen DuraAce and tubulars.

Ambrosio adjustable-reach stem -- Major Taylor in reverse, adjusting from the rear instead of from the front. Original equipment on some of the higher-end Capo bicycles ca. 1960.

As far as mine... I think it's the Suntour Command Shifters modified to 10 speed-

I hate tossing just about anything, so I repurposed this old cottered steel crank on a Motobecane Nomade. The chainring is a thirty-tooth Spécialités TA ring.

I did have to cut down and re-drill the spider. I actually could turn it into a double crank, too, and I may just do that on another old French bike I have.

Pino (Moroni) Detroit skewers. Titanium and aluminum. For some, 118 grams for the set makes up what they lack in appearance.

Some will disagree, but I think the Maillard Helicomatic system is pretty "cool," and obviously ahead of its time. Mine is Spidel branded.

Evolutionary dead ends can indeed be cool.

I have a SunTour Rollercam front brake, which I really like, on my mountain bike.

Yeah, it's pretty useless, though. It needs an Italian thread shell threaded continuously from one side to the other.

How about a NOS Campagnolo 41T 144mm BCD chainring instead?

I'm with you. As an engineering solution I think they're superior to cassette freehubs, and would be vastly more so with a little refinement.
