Where did black come from? Kinda downbeat for "The most wonderful time of the year."

Every month is a blue bike month.

I've got several duplicate colors in the quiver. Depending on how this comes out I'm looking at least at N+2 to cover every month. Mrs. Straightblock will not be pleased.

Pedalin' Erry Day
A lot of really good picks so far, here's my list of suggestions and nominations I want to second:
January - Chrome, Silver, or Gold, flashy bikes to celebrate the new year
February - Red, for Valentine's Day
March - Green, for the arrival of Spring and St. Patricks
April - Pastel shades of any color, for the month of blossoms
May - Pink, for the Giro
June - White, for fluffy clouds in the early summer sky
July - Yellow, for the month of long sunny days and the TdF
August - Purple, the color of the Emperor Augustus
September - Blue, because we're all a little sad when summer ends
October - Orange or Brown, for the month when Autumn begins and everything is flavored with pumpkin pie spice
November - Grey, for the month of grey skies
December - Black, for the darkest month of the year

Agreed, that's a good one fore sure! We need purple bike month...
I like your other suggestions too, but I nominate @noglider to be the final arbiter of what color goes to what month, considering it was his idea... Anyone second?
All the great suggestions provided in this thread should be considered.

Most astute of you to point this out!
The forum's antipodal readers oftimes forget to mention this state of affairs.
It has given rise to a proliferation of exchange clubs for cyclists on either side of the equator. When one's chainwheels and cogs become hooked they can be forwarded on to the other hemisphere where they operate like new. Thousands of riders have partners they regularly exchange with on the other side of the divide.

I've been told the reason the British drive on the other side of the street is because they are in the eastern hemisphere whereas we are in the western hemisphere. I've never work out the math on that though.

Nominating Don Tomasso as arbiter sounds like a most excellent plan.
Lettuce all hope he be not "colour vision impaired."
