Indentify Vintage Tools?

Does anyone have any ideas on the maker of these vintage tools? I believe the SA Cone wrenches are Sturmey Archer, but not sure about the "SKF". Anyone familiar "SKF"?
Thanks.

Bikes: Fillet-brazed Schwinns

They are pretty easy to find: SKF.com

those are for a notched ring (tighten or loosen) but why SKF would brand such a tool is a stumper: they are one of the original sealed cartridge bearing makers dating to the WW2 years.

Bikes: Too many, but sometimes not enough.

That's called a hook spanner. You can use them to tighten bottom bracket lock rings, or in some cases headset locknuts. They may not even be bike related. SKF is a large bearing manufacturer, and notched lock nuts or adjusting nuts are very common to both hold, and allow for adjustment of bearings in all sorts of applications. They probably offered them in a range of sizes, each one working for nuts in a certain diameter range.

Bikes: Current favorites: 1988 Peugeot Birraritz, 1984 Gitane Super Corsa, 1980s DeRosa, 1981 Bianchi Campione Del Mondo, 1992 Paramount OS, 1988 Colnago Technos, 1985 RalieghUSA SBDU Team Pro

SKF is a Swedish bearing manufacturer that was founded in 1907.

Those hook spanners look old. They were made for tightening and loosening lock nuts that hold bearings in place on shafts in machinery, transportation and other industries. Judging from their size, I doubt that they were for use on bicycles.

Bearings mounted of shafts are usually pre-loaded to a specific torque value so that there isn't any play when in use under load.

Here's a modern version of SKF Hook Spanners:

SKF Hook spanners HN series
