Hey, this ain't a competition, good to see people out and riding together.

Looks like we'll have a couple of riders I've never met, which is always fun. Looks like you've got a couple too, perhaps?

I think we should make sure the small brew pub immediately outside the Marymoor east exit is OPEN about 2:00ish PM. Post ride picture to complement the pre-ride pic.

HaHaHa.... the gugie-man has taken me out for a 'short' ride from his house, that was a fast 30mi lung/leg buster. He and 'sleeper Andy K' haven't been riding all those frigid winter week-ends to poke around on a sunny winter balmy day. I foresee that 22mph paceline discipline. Time to measure the effort, in an off-season sort of way. Be careful, they will suck(er) you in. Don't let 650B X 42mm lull one into complacency, wider means faster - right???

Of course not, I was just trying to prod some more people to get out and ride.

Sooo...who have we got? So far it looks like: @Drillium Dude, @Wildwood, @droppedandlost, @JReade, @HTupolev as confirmed and @RiddleOfSteel and @Roger M as possibles.

Jesse (@JReade) works at Postdoc brewing, so what do you guys think? Want to try a new place? Bonus points: it's just a block or two outside the eastern park entrance. They don't serve food, though there seems to be food truck support. Maybe Jesse can add some details. I'll be hungry, and that's my main motivator as I'm not a beer guy.

The place we ended up at last time was BJ's over at the Town Center. I liked their food, atmosphere and space. Fast service on the day we visited, too.

Anyhow, open to suggestions. Let's hear them if you've got them.

DD

I'm all for a beer, but food is a must for me. Trucks are ok, just gotta have something.

There will be a Food truck at the brewery (qt tacos) at 1 pm Saturday. Depending on how the ride goes, we may be waiting a bit for them to setup. I won’t be heartbroken if we roll up the SRT and go somewhere else, it’s all good with me. There’s patio seating (to watch Bikes) at a few places in Redmond, or the aforementioned BJs brewhouse.

No problem, Dan - get well. I am hoping like hell this funny scratchiness in the back of my throat I awoke with this morning is gone tomorrow morning. I was talking to one of the residents yesterday and about halfway through our conversation she informed me that maybe she should be standing a bit further away from me as she was still getting over her bout with the flu

On a different note: how in the world is it supposed to be dry tomorrow? It's still raining cats and dogs here (about 12 miles north) tonight!

Thanks, DD. Yeah, the weather says "dry tomorrow" because it stops raining at 5 or 6am? It might be dry tomorrow evening. I have a newly modified Cannondale and a newly re-built-up Marinoni I need to take for quick spins before it rains again next week...

It was a bit damp on the ride home, for sure. We can always just meet for lunch and tell everyone we rode!

You know, I kinda like that idea

I'll be honest though - I really hate riding in the wet. And if the roads are still all sloppy by the time 1115 rolls around I will most likely cancel. I just don't enjoy getting soaked (no fenders) nor ending up with bike that needs a deep cleaning. I wouldn't mind the clean-up so much if I had fun on the ride, but...

I know others thrive on challenging weather, and more power to them. I used to search out inclement weather when I was younger; today, not so much. I like my (relative) comfort

I am not one of those people. It's about an hour drive for me, so someone needs to make the call around 10am and post or pm.

I'll do a recon in the car and if it's all wet I'm going to cancel. I will post the conditions at around 10 and everyone can decide for themselves whether or not they want to ride whatever the conditions.

So, most of the riders are from greater Seattle, and you're deciding if you'll ride or not depending on if the road is wet?

Uh-huh! I mean, sure, it rains a lot here - but that doesn't mean I have to ride my bike in it

I'm fully kitted out and about to go check out conditions. It's still pretty wet here in Bothell, but who knows. Worth a shot since it's already almost 50 degrees.

It's fully wet - and there are still areas where the rain is still coming down. I'm bailing. Riding in the wet is simply not my idea of fun. If y'all still get together, have a safe ride and keep the rubber side down.

It happened.

Telling my wife 'I'm joining the traveling Theater'.
A regular stop on the trail for old guys who drink too much morning coffee (documents the bike rode the trail and E.LkSam).

Love meeting new people.
@RiddleOfSteel - another rider for your A rides on the eastside is @JReade.
