Tech Help...Regina chain question

HI,
My Colnago Nuovo Mexico that I am working on has this regina chain. It has hollow pins. Do I need a special chain tool or technique to remove a couple links. I have standard chain tools but dont want to ruin it.

Advise is appreciated. Thanks

I was going to say, don't you have a handful of solid pins at some point in the chain?
