It's cool. We were all new once.

It appears that your bike is a Bianchi. Based on the stem mount shifters and the turkey wing brake levers, a lower priced one. It also looks like your front wheel quick release is not closed.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.

Until she gets here, I'm guessing the bike is around 1980 or so. Is that a front rack brazeon on the upper part of the fork? Kinda hard to tell with the fuzzy pic.
Gcb2369, are you in North America, or Europe?

As cb400bill mentioned above, this is a fairly low-mid grade bike; nothing special. Turkey lever brakes, stem shifters. Probably 1020 or equivalent tubing. The model name appears to be right there on the top tube. That Silstar crank is very common on low end Japanese-built bikes produced in the early 1980s. I had one on a 1982 Nishiki and (I think) one on on a Centurion LeMans, approx same vintage.

Good Morning Welcome to the Bike Forums and the Classic and Vintage forum in particular.

As mentioed the bike is certainly a Bianchi built somewhere in Asia maybe Taiwan and it looks like an '83ish bike. What is the sticker on the top tube? Does it say Special or Classica? That is the model.

This bike looks like it could use a good cleaning and tune up. It looks like it might be a tad big for you, unless your statuesque like me then the seat is just not adjusted right.

Bikes: 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo; 1960 Capo Sieger (2); 1962 Carlton Franco Suisse; 1970 Peugeot UO-8; 1982 Bianchi Campione d'Italia; 1988 Schwinn Project KOM-10;

Properly cleaned up, fixed up, and tuned up, that could be a credible commuter/workhorse. I am not big on either brake "safety levers" or stem shifters, but both of these are easily remedied.

It appears to be a Bianchi Sport, circa 1982. Manufactured in Japan. Serial number?
