FRAME TRADE
Restored Dawes Atlantis c. 1980 in Reynolds db-531 — including forks. 59 cm.
Seat tube: 59cm c-t
Top tube: 53.5cm >> 54cm c-c
Head tube: 135 mm
• Hand-built sport tourer. Assembled in Dawes’ special production line.
• The finish was restored in baked stove enamel by Argos Racing Cycles in England.
•The original hues, fade spray, and graphics are exact reproductions. According to the Argos' price guide, I estimate this alone would cost 500-600 US$ today.
• The frame was fully serviced and adjusted by a professional frame maker here in Sendai before the build assembly —chased, faced, and aligned.
• Very few miles on the fame since the build in 2011-12.
Members who are interested can inquire, and by arrangement receive an Email from me with all the history as I know it, as well as more details and photos.
I’m only 5’9”, so a ’54+’ or ’56’ is a better fit. So as for a trade, I’d be interested in a race frame (not a tourer) and something of equal provenance, hand-assembled and with reasonable finish. I’m in no hurry, and I’m in no mood to just dump this bike. I can still ride it OK. I just prefer a smaller frame.
EDIT: On consideration, I would accept a trade for a sports tourer ... or a "MIXTE" in some nice tubing and my size (54, 56) — admittedly a fairly rare item. (I always wanted a mixte for getting about doing metro errands to distant places ... with a basket at the back. My Japanese Bridgestone mama-chari is very utilitarian, but it's a BARGE — even with the Dura Ace bearings that I stuck in the hubs -

ISO bottom Bracket for 1987 Schwinn SS
I called my mobile mechanic because my BB was creaking. He had trouble taking off the crank arms because the threads were bad on the L side crank arm. So I ordered a used FC-6207 Shimano 600 170 mm crankset on ebay today. See photo below of the BB that came out of my bike. What kind of BB do I need? My mechanic said that BB is 118mm wide but he recalls the vintage schwinn road bikes used 115 mm wide BBs. Please weigh in Dr. Cannondale if you see this post.

ISO new bottom bracket for 1987 Schwinn SS
I keep getting logged out and have to start all over on this thread!! Anyway, I'm 100% sure that BB below is not original to the bike because its 68mm X BSA 1.37" X 24T Origin 118mm wide. But it worked with the old crank as I explained earlier. But it creaked on every pedal stroke. So, I need a new better BB for the Shimano 600 FC-6207 Crankset I just bought on ebay. At least by bike will be more original when it gets put back together! Can anyone recommend which BB I need, or do I just buy another Origin 118mm wide BB?

You need a 113-116mm bottom bracket with a 6207 crankset. Anything in that range will work for you on the Super Sport.

WTB: Dura-ace wheelset (7 spd)
Looking for a decent to good to even great condition wheelset with DA hubs and a 7 speed. Looking for the whole package. Have DA 7400 rear derailleur and this is what I need to finish my project.

You may want to specify your preference, freehub or freewheel system. If needed, any Shimano 7 speed cassette/freewheel is spaced OK, just not the same cool color.

Last week's $100 co-op find bike turned into a boondoggle instead of a boon. But some of the parts on it are salvageable. I want to get rid of these as a whole lot for the cost of shipping. So this is a parts in search of a new home item. Same old rules first to PM is first in line. Smiles, MH

Drive side Stronglight 52/44 the nds side had the threads pull out and was destroyed in removal. A couple of chainring bolts are loose.
Avocet pedals one missing dust cap.
Dura Ace FD and STX rear derailleur.

My understanding is that Dura Ace 7400 was offered as just as 7400 (maybe as FH-7400 for a 6/7 freewheel), FH7400-6 (6 speed freehub/cassette), and FH-7400-7 (7 speed freehub/cassette). There were also a couple of 8 speed versions, but the OLD of those are probably 130mm.
Depending of whether you want this to be a rider or wall hanger, the 7 speed Uniglide cassettes for Dura Ace had a smaller diameter threaded 1st position cog. Same goes for Dura Ace freewheels.
If you go with a 7400, for a freewheel, you can run any 7 speed freewheel, even newer Hyperglide. An older Shimano Uniglide, Suntour, or Sachs Aris are good choices, but nothing is cheap these days.
I ran a 13-28 Dura Ace 7 speed freewheel and swapped out the 23-26 with 24-28 Uniglide cogs. Even though the 28t exceeded the max cog for an RD-7400, it was fine for me. But YMMV.

I want this to be a rider - it's a really nice Davidson.
I'm hoping someone has a matching front and rear wheelset with the appropriate 7 speed that mates up to the DA 7400 series (7 speed downtube shifters). I don't care if it's freewheel or cassette as long as it works!

Have a 1986 57cm Centurion Elite RS in quite nice condition - frame, fork and headset. Admit it, you used to dream of this back when you were trying to decide whether to get a Commodore 64 or a TRS-80. This has held up far better.
Am open to exchange offers, but my most pressing project need is rims - can use either 27" (630) or 700c (622). - preferably 36 hole. Anyone?
p.s. the frame is straight. I took the head-on shot from a slight angle.

ISO: Left crank arm, 170mm, straight. Will be paired with a Nervar Star that nlerner generously sent me awhile back. I don't need an exact match -- just something that is the right length and of roughly similar appearance. Alternatively if you've just got to have a Nervar Star right arm I would swap for a different crankset, or possibly parts so I can finish one from my bin. Thanks.

Wanted - one of those useless locks that attaches to the seatstay
Not the brake-bridge kind, the little box that bolts to one side and has a tongue that sticks out.
And yes they are rubbish, but this otherwise complete Torpado berceau is missing one, braze-on is ugly without it.

An obscure one, but someone may have what I need, and hopefully I have what that someone needs..
I have a 48 hole Sansin "Sealed Bearing System" cassette hub. I'm seeking the same but with 40 holes.
Hub is 140mm spaced and just under 150mm spacing. It could of course be narrowed to say 135mm spacing. It takes an Accushift cassette. If that someone has a Shimano type hub, I can throw in the 7 speed cassette I have but if your hub takes Accushift I'd need it. I can live with 135 or 140mm spacing but would prefer 135
I want this for a tubular touring rim.
Hub is smooth.

Trade my braze-on front for your clamp-on (campag Triomhe)
I have a braze on version and it's to go on a frame without the fitting, and I'd rather have a proper clamp-on than a bodge with one of those adapter things.
This one is a nice rider, some inner cage wear, and I'd be happy with similar:
