Ladies Dunelt

I have a Ladies Dunelt. I think it's from the late 60. Gold. Pedal Brakes and no changing of speeds. The markings say Dunelt - Guaranteed English Light Weight. Symbol with Lions and Cress in center.

By "no changing of speeds", do you mean it is a single speed, or that it is a three speed that doesn't work? Does it have a decal that says, "Ride awheel on Sheffield Steel"?

The guaranteed English lightweight transfer means that it's Raleigh built in Nottingham sometime after Raleigh acquired the Dunelt name, probably in the 60s like you already figured . So Raleigh parts will fit. These are nice bikes.

USAZorro: What's the significance of the "Ride awheel on Sheffield Steel" marking? I recently came across a Dunelt with that inscription... on the downtube, I think. The bike is available, if someone should want to grab it.

That seems to have been Dunelt's primary marketing catchphrase.
