this is my only blue bike .
I wish the paint was in better shape on it , but it rides very nicely!

Beautiful Raleigh!
I think that they call it "Patina" - fitting for an awesome bike.

OK, how about your bike's 1988 predecessor? I didn't know red-white-and-blue would qualify for color of the month.

... and my only British bike does happen to be blue: 1962 Carlton Franco-Suisse

As obtained from my wife's younger sister. Just my size. 27" steel rims are going, along with the completely rotted tires.

No idea what manufacture or model it is. Literally just rolled it home from 5 houses down in my neighborhood.

But it is blue!

My new-ish very blue Santana Rio tandem. Circa mid 80's, I think.

This bike gets a lot of comments. I think its the blue, really.

For all the time and effort I put into the thing I've hardly ridden it at all. Made up for that a little that this morning, a very good way to close out the month.

Much thanks! Yes, there was a thread on it back in March '22. I was pretty ragged out at the time and haven't posted anything else on it since, but of course I got over it. Springtime for Hetchins

You're welcome and my bad as I see I did like it back then but didn't comment.

This is simply amazing and 2 or 3 years ago would have one of the "if you ever decide to let it go" bikes for me, not in the cards anymore and honestly would have do a more practical build so it could be ridden more and regularly if I were to be lucky enough to get it.

And that wouldn't be ok after the great job you have done with it, hopefully one comes my way eventually, not holding my breath.

Much of my end of the day aesthetic tack comes from my view of Hetchins, vibe, ethos, soul, Kool Aid, etc.

Love them and think they are timeless and so very classic all at the same time, yours is very much both even with the outstanding period build.

I built this up for my wife. Still need to close on the cockpit. The intent was for this to be for CIno this year but we can’t make it.

It’s a little big for her, but it’s the smallest frame I could find with 700c wheels.

Eek it's almost June! (Disregard the time zone....)

This is almost a "show your multi-colored bike" bike, given the size of the white panels. '75-ish Gran Sport. Shoulda ridden it today for 5/31, but it's not ride-ready at the moment, and it's small on me anyway.

Trek 750 hybrid, it really is blue, not purple. Found in the weeds and brought back to life:

Trek 930 SHX, it was my wife's, can bring myself to sell it. This really could be for someone "five foot two".

BSA 3-speed, I'm guessing mid '60s, haven't looked at the number on the Sturmey in a while.

Blue must be a very popular color for bikes. It is not my favorite color, but I somehow have more blue bikes than any other. Here's one, my 1972 CCM Turismo, restored a few years ago.

Indeed, I find that to be true as well. By my own rough count, close to 50% of the Bikes I have owned have been a shade of blue. Out of the 12 currently hanging in the studio in fact, three are robins eggshell blue… might be a French thing!😁
