But seriously , Picture as found when I pulled the fork on a newly acquired vitus 979 .
Never seen such a thing

When I finally got the stuck stem off my Vitus Carbone, during its restoration process, I was surprised to find that very same sticker on its fork steering tube..... I think I left it on the tube but if was barely hanging on.....
Also noticed that all Vitus 979 aluminum forks have a dab of paint (usually white) just above the fork crown on the tube too... Not sure what it means, but could be a production line inspector's mark?
