Care and feeding of Modolo 919 gum hoods?

I just picked up a pair of Modolo Anatomical 919 gum hoods. They look much MUCH nicer than what I have on right now, which are tearing and weathered. Any suggestions on how i may help preserve them once installed, and yet help preserve the "feel"? Anything out there that can block UV, which i'm assuming is part of the problem.

I also discovered i have 2 pairs (TWO! egads) of the pink A'me branded hoods. ha ha. I doubt i'd ever use those. Though pink hoods on the celeste Bianchi would be very Miami Vice of me.

thanks.

FWIW, my experience with the A'me anatomic hoods is that they are much more durable than the Modolo hoods, and just as comfortable. If the color scheme works for you with the A'me hoods, I'd say go with them and sell the Modolo hoods.

A'me are more durable because they are not gum rubber. but oh NOOOOO, can't do pink. lol i'll look into the 303, which sounds good, but have people actually used this stuff and it helped?

In my experience A'me have a firmer/deader/harder feel than gum hoods, albeit not nearly so awful as those Carlton plastic thingies.

Regarding fitment my recollection is that A'me interiors are made to accommodate standard Weinmann/Diacompe levers while giving an "ergonomic" outer shape. Have never attempted to mount them to ergonomic levers such as Campag Record or Modolo Professional. Are they a reasonable fit in that application?

Sorry, I haven't tried to mount these A'me pink "Modolo style" hoods on anything, they're still in their sealed clear plastic bags

I've used 303 on lots of rubber and plastic things, mostly on my car, but I did slather the Rustines hoods on a couple of my bikes with it. It seems to work quite well.

I use it. I did my usual extensive research first and that was the one consistently recommended.
