"Raleigh 10 Speed Bike"??
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-road-bike/st...ationFlag=true
Per ad: Older 10 speed Raleigh bike for sale $150.00. Originally from Bloor Cycle in Toronto. Original leather seat. Some flaking of chrome on front wheel. Tires appear to be original! Unknown age of bike. Still rideable.
Price is $150 Canadian
Ignoring the "Some flaking of chrome on front wheel". the rear wheel is toast and that the original seat looks like it's at deaths door
On the one hand I see a bike without QR's (which might be mitigated by the age)
I see it uses a derailleur hanger
I can't tell if it is an old hand paint-job or a factory job
I see those weird forks with the "disks" at the top
Any idea what the model is?? Not looking to buy just curious.....

It looks like a Sports or Lenton Sports from the mid '60s-early '70s. I'm going to suggest a later date due to the style of decals. These were built in the Raleigh factory (some of the last 10 speeds built there before everything went to Carlton) and were rather clunky bikes compared to their predecessors in the 1950s, when Raleigh was actually interested in building proper road bikes. These frame are modeled on the earlier Lenton bikes but is made with high tensile tubing and outfitted with rather lackluster components.
I know a couple of members have made great pleasure riders out of these bikes, and the steel components (down to the rims) means they are very durable. If you aren't looking for something very racy then it might be a nice bike to pick up if the price and condition match up alright. $150 for one in proper order is nearly a bargain.

Thank you for the info. Just wondering what it was. it is a little small so might post on ebae finds. $150 doesn't get much this close to Toronto so someone might want it

I was first going to say it looked like an early 60s Gran Sport (which came in that color), but the decals are definitely more 1970s in their look, so my best guess is that it's a Canadian market Sprite or Record of some sort.
