Need to replace my 700c 35 with a set of 32's, getting some fender rub,

any recommendations on a good set of whitewalls that can survive Georgia streets? I currently have Panaracers 35's on now but was wondering if there is something better that will maintain the slightly classic look and give me a nice dependable ride.

Nice Hillborne.

A boring suggestion, but how about Paselas in 700x32?

You could go for one of the Panaracer manufactured boutique tires, but those don't have kevlar belts. Look at Compass, Fairweather, Pacenti, Grand Bois. I was using Fairweathers for some time, and found that they were pretty tough, even standing up to off road on sharp rocky fire roads. You can feel the difference with the sidewall upgrade. Paselas are really pretty good, and way better than clinchers of the past. Might be best for urban use, considering the thicker tread and kevlar belt.

I always found Continentals really rugged for commuting. Maybe something like 700x32 gatorskins. Brown sidewalls though.

Thanks so much for the suggestions, I'll look all those up and see which may work for my bike.

I thought the Sam was supposed to have room for 35s with fenders. Are you using 37 or 45 fenders?

As I recall from all the tire discussion- Paselas are generally smaller than their stated size-

I'm using Compass 35s- they seem much larger than the Pasela 32s I've used (as they should).
