When I saw the title I thought of "first bike you're acquiring" in 2019. :) But, my first ride (no pics) was a 22mi maiden ride on my '86 Trek 400elance I equipped mostly with the Rival group I got from @RobbieTunes, but as 8s with Sachs Ergo. Shifted perfectly. First acquisition, it appears, will be a MV, so RT can be happy there, too. EDIT: picked up the MV. Now to decide what to do with it. |

I went out this morning on the 79 Trek 930, and got my first ever flat on my UltraSport 2. Over 3000km on them. I haven't had a chance to see what caused it. I was already back in the village, so I just walked home.

On New Years Day I replaced the Criterium handlebars on the Tommasini (really made my wrists hurt except when in the drops) with Campione del Mondo ones and then took it for a spin. Big improvement! Weather was not nice so only 10 quick miles. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...23bea0f33.jpeg |
