@blackcannon If you haven't found a tool you can borrow yet, when my Stronglight puller comes home (on loan at the moment), I can make it available to you. OTOH, just saw this on Classic Rendezvous:
Seems like a cheap experiment, even if it proves unsuccessful.
To remove the crank without buying yet another single use tool, I have used wood wedges (building shims) inserted behind the crank between it and the bottom bracket then gently tap them in. 2 sets are needed opposite each other so you can alternate taps and extract the cranks uniformly. Not much more hassel than finding that stupid Stronglight extractor.
