Modolo Texted sticker

Does anyone know what this sticker meant and what parts it was associated with? Searching doesn't come up with anything useful.

As I was told by the distributor back in the day, it was a typo. Should have read "Tested", but the translation was done orally and we all know how those long distance calls sound!

Amazing if that's true. I saw a pic of a 70s Windsor that had that sticker on the top tube but there were no Modolo components on the bike. I was just curious what the sticker would have been put on there for at that time.

Kind of like the Hozan "Rock Ring" wrench:

I have a bike with a Modolo stem that would probably look perfect on, but not at that price. Besides, I just put a "Shut up Legs" sticker on there as a motivator. Heck of a lot cheaper as well!

I got rid of my Modolo stem after I learned I had been riding it for almost 30 years after it was recalled. I finally threw my Modolo brakes in the trash and replaced them with Campy dual pivots, and for the first time realized there was something deeply wrong with their brake design.

Is there anything they made that does not try to kill the owner?

Modolo is Italian, so you have to put up with some quirks and idiosyncrasies, like possible death. Built with passion, not necessarily with proper engineering.

I have that stem as well. What a beautiful, yet flawed, design.

This one? I got one on my Tommasini, it sure is pretty.

Yeah, that's the one. It really is a beauty.

If yours is rounded on the bottom of the horizontal shaft, you have the good one. If the shaft is sort of squared off as it runs along the bottom, you have the one that was recalled. You'll know as soon as you look at it. Mine is the recalled one unfortunately...
