Help Specialized or Raleigh ?

I just won a Goodwill auction. Sometimes you can get real bargains ($102). The bike was listed as a Specialized with Dura Ace components.
It looks more like a Raleigh to me - I'm sure one of you guys know. I think the stem, seat post, and brakes are Dura Ace too, not sure.
Maybe the headset too. I think the bottle may even be interesting
Pickup in a couple days so here are the auction pics
Any info would be appreciated. Probably too tall for me but maybe the parts can help fund my recent Kestrel frame buildup

That looks interesting, what's the seat post diameter?

Don't know yet. The Goodwill listings are usually pretty basic and asking too many questions may work against you - if you know what I mean. Just won the auction today and won't pick up until its safe to go outside without body parts freezing

Neat bike, looks like it even comes with the Shimano stem, headset and post which are all very interestingly (or oddly) engineered components. Parts are DA 7200, so late 70's early 80's, full DA would have been pretty uncharacteristic of Raleigh from what I recall, the higher end bikes would have most likely had Campy. Specialized only started making bikes in 81 though. I've seen a couple of bikes with the full DA group including fit bits, but I can't remember the marques off the top of my head.

What is going on with that thing between the ends of the handlebars?

Breakaway bars. Converts bars into something like Scott drop-ins.

That doesn’t look like a Raleigh fork to me. Why are you thinking Raleigh?

Looks like money well spent no matter what.

It looks like an SR brand bike, mock Motobecane.

I'm still a newbie - so I was pretty much going off paint.

Just noticed the weird looking seatpost clamp too

Interesting take with regard to the SR. If nothing else it sent me on a journey to learn more about them. Weird hazy history on those
I guess I'll have to wait until I pick it up to find out more

At my local bike shop, circa 1980, SR was their top of the line brand. I'm not sure what ever happened to them, but the SR name used to raise eyebrows BITD.

You might be right - although researching SR is an open ended search with few definitive answers.
The rear dropout is Shimano EF and the front dropout is Tange. Seatpost diameter is 26.8
Serial # is MZL 1541
Closest I could come up with is possibly Champion #2 tubing - and maybe an SR Professional. Most had Shimano 600 though - so still not sure
