Giving up this C&V thing...

That's it, I've had it. Old steel just ain't cutting it for me anymore, and I'm tired of torching and wrenching my way into half a$$ed bikes that keep me off the back on rides where modern carbon bikes with nearly twice as many gears as I have leave me behind on hill, flats, and bumpy roads. And the crappy cantilever and centerpull brakes won't lock up, no matter how hard I grab the brakes - discs are on most all new bikes, yet they're on nary one of my steeds. As it gets warmer, wool is just too damn itchy. Time to switch to modern synthetics.

Now I just need to find out how to get my Eroica California payment refunded. I'll need some of that scratch for the conversion.

You've seen a lot of my bike pictures, no reasonable offer refused!

I think we have similar taste and size so I would improve on the previous offer and do $11/steed.

Finally, something that makes sense, a championship Penny Farthing race!

I will have to tell my baby sister she share this fools day Birthday with a great composer.

Y'know, I'm just not getting back into shape as easily as past years. Maybe it's time to give up and get an e-bike.

@gugie, you do conversions, right?

Funny thing is, I agree with the whole statement. In fact, been considering dumping all but one of my rides(and all of my vintage stash). The question is, which one do I keep - ???

@gugie, well played. A good rant, just the right mix of disdain and finger-pointing. Still, needs a little something to make it more believable.
