It does appear to be bent but as you state it could be an illusion. Before I drove an hour, I'd ask for a detail picture of the front front end, including the upper fork and request that the the owner makes sure the front wheel is aligned with the frame. Something along the lines of the attached. That will allow you to see if there is any damage behind the lugs and increase you confidence in fork condition. If the owner really wants to sell the bicycle and isn't aware of an issue, he'll take the five minutes to do this. If he's aware of an issue, he'll probably refuse or ignore your request.

I would ask for pics and maybe even say “the fork angle looks a little odd in your ad pics; has the bike been crashed?” If the answer is no he will certainly say so, and if it’s yes he will have been alerted to the fact that he won’t be slipping it past you and will likely admit the truth. At least that’s my theory.
If it’s clean, that’s going to be a nice bike. Is it a DX-5000?

I'm putting my vote in the "not bent" column. This is a tri bike, and looking at other interwebs pics of the DX-5000, it looks like this model has the characteristically more relaxed head tube angle. The fork legs and steerer section appear aligned and straight to me. Given the magic of photos, I won't be surprised either way, but I think it looks ok to me.

I had already planned to meet the seller after he got off work. So no time for extra pics so I took the gamble, price for the bike was about the price of the 105 group so no big loss. It was a little shady at first, seller lives downtown Indianapolis and told me to meet him in the alley by his garage. So me being me I agreed to meet him, he ended up being a great guy. When I left I thanked him for not killing me and left him a little confused.
