What size seatpost?

Hi,

I'm currently getting a bike together for my wife and I'm unsure of what seatpost to buy. I believe it's a 1993 Specialized Hardrock sport. The old seatpost is chewed up from a nasty burr on the seat tube.
I measured the seatpost ID with my micrometer and it must be oblonged. It measures 26.4-26.8mm
I measured the seatpost and it's 26.6-26.8 depending on where you measure it lol.

I want to order a new post and I think I'm going to get an origin8 since they actually have the odd sizes.

Thanks
