Clement Evolution tubulars, plastic base; how do these work?
I have searched, less than completely, obviously, and have yet to find out how these are meant to be mounted.
They have that hard plastic concave base, not tape. That slight concavity would not allow proper contact for gluing to a tubular rim, it seems.
I've spent a couple of hours trying to force them on to vintage clincher rims, because I suspect that's how they're meant to be used.
I'm sure no one else has figured this pair out; they clearly have never been ridden.
I ride tubulars, for CX and track, and have glued my own for years; glue or tape or "Belgian method" combo... I can't figure these out.
I'd appreciate your insight.
Thanks to those who know.
(PS: anyone want to buy them?)

These particular Clements are sometimes referred to as "tubular-clinchers." Their CF 2001/T is the same design. It's basically a cast-in tube in a solid, non-serviceable rubber casing. You were on the right track trying to get them onto clinchers; that's what the edge is for.

They're not supposed to be easy to install. Don't know if I'd trust them for riding at this point - probably show-bike-only at best.
