Trek Calypso

The recent Trek lighthouse thread reminded me I saw this Trek "Calypso" at a Goodwill here in town for $30, if memory serves. Sitting next to a Hardrock they wanted similar for (not my thing).

Nothing special here, it's obviously imported and super-low-end, but I'd never heard of the model before. Very beach-cruiser-ish.

I think it's a 1996 model given the pre-97 logo and the decal placement on the chainguard. Cruisers never really went away, but I think the trend surged in the mid 90's because of Schwinn's 100 year anniversary in 1995.
