Trek Resto-mod question
I’m interested in doing a resto-mod on an older Trek. I’m very long legged and would like to use big tires.
What is the largest steel road frame Trek made in the 80’s and which model had the largest tire clearance if using 622 wheels?
A 650b conversion sounds fun but IMO wouldn’t look right with a huge frame.
Is there another brand that made larger frames with bigger tire clearance?

Touring bikes with canti brakes will usually take a larger tire. I had a 1985 65cm 520 that would take 700x40c.
Switching from 27" to 700's can be a little tricky with canti brakes due to reach.
