Bikes: 85 pinarello treviso steel, 95 battaglin steel, 95 look kg 131 carbon, 11 trek madone 5.2 carbon

if anyone gets bored during this time or wants to post again, there is the empty road ahead photos thread in the road cycling forum as well.
it's up to 95 pages, undoubtedly, a few c & v members have posted an applicable photo there at some point in the last (nearly) eleven years...

This is great: A round-the-world road trip while still hunkering at home!
Thanks All.

This shot may well turn out to be the last ever - while riding the Sparrow, that is. A buyer from Montana found a local facilitator, so I took it out for its last photo-shoot and ride today:

Had to check on Streetview because I wasn't sure, 21% never looks like 21% in a pic. But yes, Paterberg! Decent work-out for the calves, if you stay on the cobbles that is.

Indeed! We did make it to the top. Eventually. With two Belgian bikes, BTW.

Thank you - it is cool that the bike's going back "home", and to a fan of the make, too

Nah, I had it posted in Seattle CL, but hopeful buyers from both NY and MT contacted me about buying w/shipping. In the case of NY, it was off the table immediately - but the person in MT (whom I now understand I met on Cino in 2014) had some contacts in the area that could facilitate.

Sadly, I got an email from the person this morning telling me his facilitation contact offered him the chance to pick up a 60s Cinelli instead - and he was going to go that route. I was surprised and a little disappointed, but only for a moment. Just another one of those things that make you go hmmm...

Relisted it on CL. It will move or it won't. I'm easy.

I'm looking forward to seeing a similar view here in a few weeks Trees are budding but we're certainly not as lush as that right now.

Bikes: too many

The dog park plus model airplane airport, built on top of a dump (that, for legal reasons, couldn't be used for anything else). It's the starting/stopping point of one of my favorite rides, which mostly follows the flow of the muddy Lil' Arkansas.

This morning at about 11:30, Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, DE. Picture is from the north end of FI looking south toward OC, MD. It is pretty eerie, with such a beautiful day, for Fenwick and OC highway to be so empty of traffic. It looks like it did mid-week in April back in 1980.

A gorgeous day in Fenwick Island, DE., and no beach traffic.

sometimes it is nice to just cruise the flat cornfields around here, but other times it is fun to get on a roller coaster.....

Brimfield-Jubilee road, for anyone curious.
