The Empty Road Photo Thread
#178
Those fall shots are gorgeous but winter just rolled in here. After the roads in Yellowstone close to vehicle traffic for the season, there is a very fleeting time span when biking is still allowed in the Park. Empty roads, except for the occasional official vehicle. Last Friday was beautiful and probably the last day for biking in the Park considering the snow we had over the weekend.

I love this thread.
I guess the most recent ones I have are this:

Then the same bridge, different bike, from the other side on the next day. Notice there's a tree branch in the distance blocking the road- it wasn't there the day before.

I was looking for the 'best cycling pic I ever took" and decided they were all the best, but I did come across this empty road pic. Gutshall Rd outside of Boiling Springs PA. Beautiful area I really miss riding there. Great fly fishing too!

This was a few years back, heading west from Rainy Pass. I rode the North Cascade Highway the day before they opened it to traffic (it is closed in the winter, due to avalanche danger).
It is one of the best Spring rides in the state(in my opinion).
