Help Needed- Campy Ypsilon Rims

Can 25mm tires be used on Campy Ypsilon Aero rims? Do any of you know where I can find a spec sheet? My brother-in-law has a set, and asked if I knew someplace to find this kind of information. I said "of course I do"

Thanks

Sure. If the bike has clearance, no problem.

Just use calipers and the pair he has. 25mm tires aren't a new invention of the wider is better trend, they've been around for decades and would have been a normal usage for someone who wanted a more comfortable ride or and heavier and slower training tire. The tire might have a slight lightbulb look but nothing unsafe unless you're pushing the limits of cornering. This is assuming this is an old aluminum version and not something new I'm unaware of.

Bikes: Many!

I'm running a pair of 25mm on mine right now. Quality rim, I find them underrated. I'm sure the price for quality margin aided in that.

Here's a link to the 1990 and 1992 Campagnolo Rims catalogue I found on the web. The numbers seem to be the same throughout the years:

Campy Ypsilon Rims

Campagnolo made the Lambda V Profile Strada aero clincher rims in 3 flavors: Omega - brown hard anodized, Ypsilon - silver anodized and Lambda - polished.

1989 Catalog shows 19-25mm tires.

I have a set of the V Profile Omegas on my early 80's DeRosa running 700c x 25 Continental Gran Prix Classic tires. No problems.
