No great loss. The components (at least the brakes and pedals) are lower level Shimano Adamas AX. The frame is a quasi-aero style with a round down tube that has been pressed into an aero shape in the centre section. Nice that it has forged dropouts and early aero rims but it definitely mass production. Rotted tyres. Tubular, non-micro-adjust seat post. Circa 1981-1984, upper entry level. I don't think there would be much potential for a profit after all the work needed.

Hi T-Mar, thanks for the input. That Aero frame was too small for me. I'd considered it for $40 as a partial parts donor for this guy, but the tubulars would not be used so even for $40 it's pushing it. There are so many bikes out there that it is difficult to lose any sleep over buying opportunities missed; always another one around the corner it seems!

I'm pretty sure those wheels weren't tubulars.

Ah yes, I misread what you'd written. The tires are so old they almost look like glue splattered sidewalls. My very first road bike used tubulars - Wolber Invulnerables. Nice ride if I remember right, but no more tubulars for me.
