know of no other maker to place the braze-on on the backside of the seat lug to mount the special Universal centrepull hanger...

Agreed, it's a Legnano but the Columbus decal is highly suspect. They were very fragile and this one is in too good condition relative to the frame. It's definitely not the top Olimpiade model as it doesn't have the cinch slot in the seat lug. Even the 2nd from the top Gran Premio typically used Campagnolo forged dropouts. Maybe a Mezza Corsa.
