HB-5500 front axle cone...

Excited to build a wheelset, I trusted the Shimano 105 5500 hub axle I had was "recently serviced", as advertised. It felt good to my initial touch, so I (slowly!) built my first wheel - and it came out great. Except, I then notice, while in the fork I hear a slight rumble emanating, obviously, from the axle. Upon disassembly I discover no "recent service", and a pitted cone surface.

If anyone has one of these, un-pitted, I would gladly pay for shipping...and then some. I'd love to find an exact match, but realize this group was only offered for a few years and that may be difficult. It's a cleverly designed item, with a rubber gasket in the inside and a engraved built-in shield on the outside.

Here's one: https://www.modernbike.com/wheels-ma...-12.7-x-15.0mm

Looks like you would need to transfer the cap and rubber seal over to the new cone.

Awesome, thanks for hunting that up!
The gasket will be easy, but I'll have to figure out how to swap the cap over.

The cap is a not very tight press fit, using a socket and a hammer it will come off the cone without any problems.
