Fix That Simplex Prestige (1975)

I also added this in the Bicycle Mechanics sub-forum: Simplex (Prestige?) Derailleur Adjustment for Idiots Needed.
But also thought it might also be useful here.

Bikes: 2024 A Homer Hilsen, 1992 Paramount PDG Series, 1991 Mercian King of Mercia, 1987 Mercian Pro, 1985 Shogun 500, 1969? Falcon San Remo, 1972 Peugeot PX-10, 1972 Schwinn Paramount P13-9, 1971 Peugeot PX-10, 1970 Raleigh Pro Mk I

15-year old me knew all this stuff but I never broke any of the parts mentioned so I must not have achieved journeyman yet. One day I'll get it right.
By the time of this article I was two years past needing to know.

Ha! I was in the near opposite situation. In 1974 I bought a new Raleigh Grand Prix that came with a Simplex Prestige.
Remembering the front shifting issues I had, I sure could have used this article or somehow acquired the knowledge.
I had 3 bicycle repair books at the time -- Glenn's Complete Bicycle Manual, Richard's Bicycle Book, and Anybody's Bike Book.
None of them helped with my Simplex Prestige woes and I ended up selling the bike a year later before this article was published.
