Rims
Wheel issue
I have decided to replace the ukai 700c rims on my Fuji America because of a dent. I was looking at the Sun CR18 622 rims. Any thoughts on these rims? Also, I was hoping to go with a wider tire than the 28c I had on the Ukais. How wide a tire can I use?

No idea about max width, but you can't go wrong with the CR18. There are different versions though. I think the polished version would look right on a Fuji America

Bikes: A few. Quite a few.
I'm running VO Raids with 33mm tires and have CR-18's installed on another bike with 28's, I checked and the CR-18's are slightly wider in exterior width. With that in mind I'd think the CR-18's should accommodate at least as much as the Raids...

I think if it were mine, I'd hold out and hunt down an original replacement rim. Although there are a few good newer rims, nothing looks as good on a classic bike as the original equipment wheels.
I've often even bought used wheelsets to get the right components to make something original or correct again.
Are they the dark anodized Ukai 700-25 rims that Fuji used in the 80s on so many bikes? There's a few on fleabay right now.
