ATB identification exercise

This interesting rigid ATB is sitting on the local marketplace. The decals were either ephemeral, or are hiding under what seems to be an obvious repaint. There are indicators that this was at least mid range in the day with a lugged crown, and assuming original components are what's on the bike.

What do the experts think this could be? I don't recognize the headbadge.

Relaxed angles, traditional geometry.

Zoom for headbadge, though obscured by the cables. Better look at crown lug

Suntour superbetech derailleur? What do you call the additional tensioner?

The non unicrown fork says 84 or earlier.
