Road Test/Bike Review (1981) Three Bikes Leading a 3-Speed Comeback

SEKAI 120 Commuter, FUJI Cambridge III, and MIYATA CM-1 are featured.
Unfortunately, there were no photos of these bikes in the article.
However, SEKAI did have an ad showing the 120 Commuter.

The article referenced an Bicycling, Sep 1978 article about 3-speeds.
It was posted previously to C & V here: Road Test/Bike Review (1978) Four 3-Speed Commuting Bikes

That's right, magazines would sell full page ads and put them next to relevant editorial content... feels like it's been awhile since I've picked up a magazine. I like three speeds, they are practical bikes. The commuter I've made for myself is a five speed, which was the less expensive path of least resistance at the time, but I could get by with three. I don't live in San Francisco.
