Help identifying bike

I have a picture of a bike I got for Christmas in 1970. I was hoping someone could help identify what it is. I was going to post the picture but it says I have to have 10 posts before I can post pics. I could email or text it to someone that could post it for me. Would like to try & find a bike like it to fix up for future grandkids. Thanks in advance for any help.

Bikes: '96 Moots VaMoots, Bertoni MAX, Eddy Merckx Grand Prix Team USA, ‘94 Merlin

Looks like a Sears head tube badge. I had a purple 16” wheel Sears bike like that when I was a little kid, early 70’s. This look very similar to it. Judging by the size of you on that bike, hopefully you were able to safely ride it by the time the next Christmas rolled around.

Thanks for the reply & the lead. I think your right on Sears they were popular back then. After doing some research I think it’s a Spyder series from pulling up some pictures online. Really appreciate it!!!

in the photo the cycle appears to exhibit an ashtabula type chainset which suggests the machine of domestic manufacture

a great many of the Sears domestically manufactured bicycles were done by Murray

the source code stamped into frames of Murray built Sears products is 502

Yes it does appear to be a 1970 Sears Spyder based on the head badge, top tube rings and triangular emblem on the seat tube. Based on the image in the 1970 Wish Book, which better shows the chainguard and chainring, it appears to be a rebranded Murray Wildcat.
