Spoke source ??
Tearing down a recently purchased mid-80s Centurion , and discovered it had over shifted past the big rear cog. Chewed many of the spokes up there behind the freewheel.
So, I need a source for reasonably priced straight gage stainless. In the past, Dans Comp was my go to. Sadly I understand they were bought out and it is not what it once was.

I doubt it'll help, but my last 3 wheelbuilds I used DT superlight 1.8-1.5 spokes from BensCycles ebay store. Actually I have spokes for one more from them. They have limited oddball sizes, but if you're doing a 27" wheel they might have something. Spokes don't come with nipples, I'd gotten lucky and ordered some as a cart filler before Bikewagon changed names. I ordered 100, they sent me 1000.
I too miss Dan's. I have vague recollections of visiting the bmx tracks where they started back in the '80s. Not to race, because my parents wouldn't let me, but to watch. Doh.

I wouldn’t say I’m building a lot, but I built a couple of new sets last year or so and swapped around 2/3 sets of hubs and rims over the winter. I have one more rim to replace and I’m sniffing around for some decent 32 hole rims to build another set right now.

Completely out of what brand, gauge, and length specifically? That's an incredibly broad statement, and after checking just now, they have plenty in many lengths of DT Swiss' 2.0 straight gauge offerings, as well as other spokes (Competition and Revolution).
