I have a Bianchi Road bike which has a frame which looks exactly like the one found at

Mine however has no frame material sticker on it and is closer to about 52 cm. Serial number is C1954 on bottom of bottom bracket. Mine has 1991 DuraAce components including the crankset, 8 speed brifters, rear derailleur, brakes and wheel hubs. The frame's downtube is horizontally ovalized at the bottom bracket only. The rest of the frame is round tubed. Seat tube diameter is 27.2mm. Internal cable routing through the top tube. Internal cable routing through the chain stay. "Costruita nel reparto corse Bianchi" is in white lettering on the non drive side chain stay. "Bianchi" is stamped (etched?) onto the top facing part of the non drive side of the bottom bracket. The fork on mine is not original.

Can anyone please let me know the model of mine?

A couple/few photos would help jog some visual memories.

Based on the serial number it is an Italian manufactured frame. 1991 Dura-Ace components would place it 1991-1992 but I would have thought 1993-1994 based on the serial number. Regardless, say early 1990s and the ovalized down tube at the BB shell is typical Bianchi Superset 2 construction of the era.

It sounds like it may be a TSX or SBX frame, possibly rebuilt with Dura-Ace. The first thing I'd be doing is remove the front wheel, and examining the inside of the bottom of the fork's steerer tube. If there are five helical ridges, it is indcative of a Columbus steerer tube (see attached photo). If so, then I'd be removing the bottom bracket and seeing if the same heical ridges are evident in the ends of the tubes. That would indcate SBX or TSX.

OP indicated that he did not have the original fork, so that examination won't help. It sounds a lot like the SBX frame that I once had, but that was in celeste. I seem to recall them making this purple/blue in TSX.

Thank you for the info! This prompted me to further search this site and the web in general and resulted in the following observations - The exact same Bianchi down tube and seat tube decals and the exact shade of blue of my bike show up on a number of identical looking Bianchi TSX bikes (for example as in the photos of the tsx bianchi referenced in the thread starter here) but I have not seen one matching my decals and paint colour in a Bianchi SBX bike.

Bike also has "Campione del Mondo" sticker near top of down tube a "Made in Italy" sticker near bottom of seat tube, and the "E Bianchi" signature on the top tube near the seat. IIrc the "Campione del Mondo" sticker did not come into being until 1993 which would mean all the 1991 Dura Ace parts were swapped in. So perhaps it is a 1995ish tsx frame?
