A Study in Contrast

Stopped for a snack with my friend and "parked" our bikes. Had to take a picture. What a study in contrast. My bike is the 50 year old Mercier. I meet up with him on Saturdays after he has done 40 miles with a fast group. Then we do another 40 at "my" pace.

Bikes: Some mighty fine ones at that!

Your bike looks like a charming Paris bistro.
His bike looks like a modern gas station on the Autobahn.

Bikes: '38 Schwinn New World, '72 Peugeot PX-10, 78 Raleigh Comp GS, ’80 Peugeot TH-8 tandem

On first, quick glance I thought the modern bike's brand was Ibuprophen...... I'd take the Mercier over the other any day.
