Campy Headset Bearing Size

Hey, gang. I have a circa 1989 build with a Campy headset. I'd love to post pics (they're in my album), but I haven't posted enough yet. Any input on the bearing size? I'd like to have new bearings in hand before I open it up. Thanks in advance.

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.

Which specific model? Campagnolo has used both 3/16" balls and 5/32" balls in various models.

Bikes: Many, and the list changes frequently

Typically 22 5/32" or 19 3/16" depending on model.

the one exception is the Campagnolo-Bianchi integral set which uses 1/8" ball

the Nuovo Record model headset worn by the Fuso takes 3/16" ball

In my experience , just new grease and adjustment required. Unless the previous owner overtightend the headset , the bearings should be fine. I have done quite a few rebuilds on bikes as a hobby and never run across any problems and from what I can see that bike looks to be in good shape.

I like replacing the bearings if I'm going to the trouble of opening up a part. Bearings are cheap compared to the price of vintage campy headsets.

OP: just unscrew the locknut, take out one bearing and measure it.

Twenty-five 5/32" balls in each race for pista and Gran Sport; twenty 3/16" balls in each race for Record and Super Record road.

Thanks for all of the responses. It has been a long time since I was too into bicycles, so I wasn't aware of VeloBase. So, yes, it looks like a Record, which would be a 3/16", as note above. Thanks again, folks.
