We don't have much in the way of red barns in my part of California. Would a red agricultural shed suffice?
We have plenty of white barns.

Brent, there's plenty of red barns in California if you know where to look.
TdMIL 2018 - off of CA Hwy 84
and in your neck of the woods, ain't there a big red barn off of Bear Valley Rd?

I suspect this one was red at one point. Probably the most photographed barn in my area.

Not sure if I have any bikes by a red barn but I have lots of pics of them. All these are along my normal bike routes in the area I live.

Another barn in the Middle Fork area
Liberty, UT
My all time favorite barn shot.
The above shot was a composition of many highly detailsed frames. In the full size image you can clearly make out the skiers on the slopes of the mountain in the background. A much larger (but still downsized) picture of the above shot is here:

Right before you head over the North Ogden Divide
Huntsville Town Square
There we go, the Opus III against the barn doors.

Mom & Dad did their barn in all red steel. So, it was "modern" 45 years ago.

Having spent my childhood on a farm in Iowa, I definitely have an emotional attachment to old barns.
a barn in the Peoria area....
a barn that Mr. Wildwood is familiar with, located in the Wildwood, MO area. This is a really neat area.. lots of hills, narrow roads, not much traffic.
a shot from the Hilly Hundred ride, near Bloomington, IN
another barn from the Peoria area. Like a lot of barns, it was allowed to deteriorate. This one was disassembled before it just collapsed upon itself, which makes it unusual.

I kinda like our old weathered gray one. I was told by an appraiser it's probably worth $20K parted out. Back in the 70's the neighbor complained to the city so they made us paint if. My dad had us stain it with transparent gray stain. Totally pissed off the neighbor. They moved not long after and a liquor store owner's family moved in. Win-win.

Makes me wish I would have had a bike with me for the 6 weeks I spent in Ogden years ago.
Thanks for the pictures, I remember skiing at Snowbasin one day but the context for what I was looking at from the top is really cool
