running 32-630 tire front, 28-622 tire back on classic road bike

Will I encounter any problems running this set-up? 32-630 or 27"x28c front / 28-622 or 700x32c back. Was thinking the extra plush from a rear 32c will make for a more comfortable ride but running the 27" in the front with 28c so I don't get as much rolling resistance? IDK

Seriously doubt you’d notice any reduced rolling resistance from a wheel only 8mm larger in diameter (probably comes out even with the two tire sizes) or the difference in tire width. Tire choice and pressure would make a much more significant difference. And for more comfort, a more plush front tire would probably feel better, since one’s hands get much of the road vibration.

There’s lots of recent data that small changes in tire width have little influence on rolling resistance, at least with premium supple tires. Tire carcass construction makes a much bigger difference.

Yes. We will tease you mercilessly until you conform.

You can also wear mismatched shoes if say, another brand fits your left foot better than the right. But will you want to?

Would I be correct to say that if I have similarly slick tires and match tire pressure of both wheels to be relatively close to each other it would "feel" the same even if I have different tire widths?

Thought so. Right on, good sir.

Thanks for the replies guys, I might post again in the future if I notice anything weird or awry with the set up. Cheers!
