Battaglin Carrera help please

Hi all,
I`v just picked up a really cool `88 Battaglin Carrera Team bike that was ridden by Massimo Ghirotto - frame and forks and a few good parts like BB etc.

The frame is generally good apart from a few patches of paint - a few chips around the BB but the worst bit is the underside of the top tube - seen this before on team bikes - a combination of thin paint and lots of riders sweat...

So, question is, does anyone know the paint codes for Carrera Battaglins - all three, red, white and blue - this will be a very sympathetic touch in restoration not a full paint so needs to be a very good match.

Thanks, Dan.

Sorry I can't help, but I did want to say, that's a very nice looking Battaglin. I have one from the same era, in MAX tubing, that I love.

I don't know about colors either but this is very cool and I really like any of these.

I would reach out to them and see, they usually are glad to help if they can.

Brand new ones are stunning which is no surprise when we see ones like this.

We need to see the fork too plz.

Yep, waiting to hear back from Battaglin but nothing yet - pics of the forks below, chrome has lost its shine so will have to think carefully about a re-chrome or not, Dan.

Is there still chrome on the fork? Rubbing with aluminum foil and a little water can help shine it up.

Some paint places have a scanner kinda thing that will give you the paint code, or at least really close to it.

I had a reply back from Dario at Battaglin regarding the frame and rider, turns out its Guido Bontempi`s Carrera frame, not Massimo`s as I first thought - nice....

You’re going to need a pair of those Rudy Project shades too. Sweet frame and story.
