Doesn't seem like a rideable wheel, which is maybe why they were unridden? Sort of curious to remove a spoke from either side and see what's going on. Sort of tempted to unlace these and start over with new spokes.

Gotta wonder if the original builder somehow got the DS / NDS spoke lengths reversed. Would be interesting to remove one from each side and measure, see if inded the DS are shorter. It may just require rebuilding by swapping side assignments with the spokes (shrug).

Or lace the nds 3 cross? That might melt my brain, though.

I'm learning some interesting things about these rims, the most interesting is that the spoke drilling offset is different than most other rims.

Oh yeah, I unlaced them to try to figure out the problem.

From what I've read, these have confused builders as long as they've been getting built. I hadn't picked up on the offset thing until I unlaced the rear, but the front has the spokes going to the wrong side of the rim. Some folks have speculated that maybe that was the design intention. Dunno.

Anyways, I did some measuring and got an ERD of 624, hub flange dia of 49, left offset 37, right offset 19. I figure the rim spoke offset is about .5 to either side. That gives me left spokes at 310, right spokes at 308. The originals are all 307, which seems about right, considering the way the threads were showing.
