attic treasure hunt.

So I come up to NY to work with some community gardens activists. I see a few old bikes laying around so I decide that I should fix them up for people to get from place to place. after an hour or so of rooting through their attic I come up with:

Campy record hubset, 5-spd, new in the box
campy NR headset, new in the box with bearings
record crankset
a record high flange 5-spd tubular wheelset
a record low flange 5-spd clincher wheelset
two more low flange record tubular fronts
and some other stuff including a vendor pack of 9 pair of mafac brake refils which I saw online for $20 a pair.
a colnago and a frejus, both mostly outfitted with record stuff. Both are ridable but generally in fair to poor condition.

I also found an Avocet seatpost which was pretty scraped up and a new, unmounted avocet triple crank. Anyone have any idea of the value of the crank, I haven't been able to find anything on it online.

So what I'm thinking of doing is trading most of this stuff to a store here in NYC in exchange for stuff that we can really use. anyone have a ballpark on the value of this stuff. anything that I didn't list as new is used but in great condition. I've done some research online and found some prices, but i thought I'd ask here for real live people's advice. We're going to keep the frames unless someone thinks we can get a whole lot for them. they're not in collectable condition. most of the decals are scratched or worn off and there is some rust.

I know you can't put a price on something without seeing it, but I was just looking for what kind of money people are shelling out for this stuff these days.

thanks

Hrm, the Colnago and the Frejus could be very valuable, I don't suppose you have pics? Maybe a description of them?

Tim, you won't get anywhere near what it's worth by trading it to a shop... To the shop, it's worth 10¢ on the dollar. Just the Colnago could be worth anywhere from $300-$1000... or more. The Avocet cranks should be worth $100, the Frejus... who knows? Depends on the model. Figure the NOS Record hubsets at $125 per set. NOS headset, at about $85... Post some pics of the bikes!

Bikes: Crap. The box is not big enough...

It'll be more work, but worth the effort to sell it all on eBay. Buy a lot of fertilizer and rakes for that stuff!

I'm hoping to sell it to get the group some ridable bikes. unfortunately i'm going back to atlanta tomorrow and all the stuff stays here in NYC. I'll post some picks in a day or so, when we get home.
I'm going to try to work with people over e-mail/phone to get rid of the parts. hopefully it'll work and no one up here will take them to the wrong place and get ripped off.
