New project

I'm looking at purchasing a raleigh chiltern or a transit for light restoration and general use. Are these worth the effort or not good quality. I definitely want a hub gear bike.Any suggestions?

Any Raleigh with a sturmey hub is going to be cool.

bought the bike and it is cool..good overall condition ,only real issue is the steel rims that are a bit rusty, but still have cleaned up reasonably well. Am considering alloy rims which would improve braking as well. And my son is making a leather saddle bag for me .Do like the older bikes, they put you in a nice relaxed mood and make gentle riding a pleasure
