Hi friends, I need some information if anybody knows. I'm use to cruising in a caddy so this is new to me. I picked up this Peugeot at an auction. The bike says Design by ZEG. It is also called an Exclusive Geprufte Qualitat.
Has Rigida Alloy Wheels, Made In France. It is 21 Speed, Purple and Gray with black fenders. The gears say Shimana Altus, Tire size is 700x40c with strange valves. The serial number is 60310910. Is this a good bike worth some bucks or should I just sell it. Was this customed made. It wasn't cheap at the auction.I can't find any info on this particular bike at all. Please see what you can dig up on this or maybe some site that can help me. Than you for your time ,Tony

first of all if it has shimano altus on it it is a 21 speed , not a cruiser.
usually a cruiser is a single speed coaster brake equipted bike with fat 26X2.125 tires.
some times they will have a internal hub 3 speed or even a seven speed.
you never described the bars, ram style or a flat mountain.

That's a very, very European looking commuter, probably intended for the German market (based on the decals). The upright position, the chaincase, the fenders, the lights/generator... It's a good bike for someone who is interested in commuting, but not road racers or mountain bikers. You should ride it if you can. You might also try posting in the commuting forum, since it's not really classic/vintage, and is really marketed to commuters.
