Sorry Misread and misunderstood so will try to do it right now
My apologies to all and I would like to say it was not intentional
I have a Cyclemaster and two raleigh bikes which I am trying to date and would hope to show
I now understand your rules about posts and can see I went the wrong way around to try to get my information as I thought photos could show more than I could say
Sorry again Steve

Yes this approach will work much better. You need up to 5 posts per day over two days to get to ten, then you can post photos, and you’re right pics are the best way to identify a bike. Welcome aboard.

It looks like you are back down to 3 posts because the multiple threads were deleted. If you just respond to a few comments here you will get to 10 posts pretty quickly. You don't have to say anything brilliant, just post your comments as replies on this thread and don't start multiple threads with the same title.

I must admit I find it difficult to navigate this site but that is probilly due to the fact that this is the first time I have been on these forum sites and I am very much a newbe on bikes as well

You can upload photos to your own album right now if you want, even before you have 10 posts. Other members can then view them there and also re-post them for you in the thread.

Yeah, we seem to have subforums for just about everything except kitchen sinks, and I'm actually not sure about that, either

I must also admit that the two bike I have I though was 2 Raleighs one I think now one might be a vanguard -- They both look very much the same and both you back peddle to brake but the front light holder is not the same
The cyclemaster is a Raleigh frame but not so old but still pre 50 i think but has the heron crest as has one of the cycles as well as torpedo schweinfurt 2.8 & 36 on the back wheel spindell which I was told was the age [ cycle]
